Randee McDonald
CSSS Advanced Career Development Participant (Tribal Wide)
My name is Randee McDonald. I am a Tribal member and part of the Panther Clan. Directly after graduating high school, I started my college career as a Fine Arts Major. I completed three years before adding on Education as a major. After beginning my Education courses, I gained a greater interest specifically in Special Education, so from then on; I focused completely on Education. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Florida Gulf Coast University, and following that, I taught K-12 Special Education at Ahfachkee School in Big Cypress. I remained there for three years until I had my first child in 2018. I then decided that I wanted to continue my education and pursue a Master’s degree. For two years, I worked to achieve my Masters in Educational Leadership, and in July of 2021, I graduated from Nova Southeastern University. I am now looking to gain experience to become a better leader. By leveraging my skills and knowledge, I am looking to better education as a whole within the Seminole Tribe of Florida. By serving as an advocate, I hope to facilitate exposure and access to educational information that will help provide tribal members with additional tools and opportunities that will ultimately promote the development of positive role models within our community for years to come.
When I am not working and gaining experience to make these changes, I am spending time with my family, including my three children, one boy and two girls.
