Dionna Bockoras is a dedicated and experienced educational leader with more than twenty years of service to students, teachers, and school communities across Florida. Her work is grounded in a passion for inclusive education, academic growth, and building strong partnerships with families.
Dionna currently serves as the Exceptional Student Education Program Specialist for the Seminole Tribe of Florida. In this role, she works closely with families of exceptional Tribal Members on the Lakeland and Brighton Reservations, supporting students from their early preschool years through their transition into adulthood. She helps design and implement strategies that align with the Tribe’s mission for exceptional student education, develops both short and long‑term educational plans, and coordinates specialized services with Tribal departments and outside agencies.
Her work includes overseeing evaluation referrals, ensuring compliance with IDEA and Section 504, managing IEPs and 504 plans, and supporting smooth and successful student transitions. Dionna also provides ongoing communication, technical assistance, and professional guidance to educators, administrators, and families to ensure each student receives consistent, high‑quality support.
Before joining the Seminole Tribe of Florida, Dionna served as an administrator in DeSoto County, where she led instructional initiatives, safety planning, family engagement, and staff development. She has also worked as an ELA Instructional Coach in both Indian River and Okeechobee counties. Throughout her career, she has created programs that strengthened literacy, expanded intervention supports, and improved student achievement.
Dionna is an active member of the Florida Center for Inclusive Communities (FCIC), the National Autism Network of Statewide Implementers, the Florida Association of the Gifted (FLAG), and Delta Kappa Gamma.
She holds degrees from the University of North Florida and Florida Atlantic University.
