Hello, my name is Laura Acosta, and I am the Office Coordinator. Before joining the Education Department, I worked with Elder Services, where I gained valuable experience supporting both staff and community members and learning more about the Seminole Tribe. Over the years, I’ve developed a strong background in administrative work, coordination, and keeping daily operations running smoothly. I genuinely enjoy helping others, staying organized, and making sure things flow the way they should.
I believe that a positive attitude and a willingness to learn go a long way in any workplace. There is always something new to learn—whether it’s a new skill, a better way to do something, or simply understanding people a little more—and I try to bring that mindset with me every day.
Hobbies: I love traveling and exploring new places, trying different foods from all kinds of cultures, and taking road trips — even short ones. Florida has so many hidden gems to discover, and I love finding them! I also enjoy spending quality time with family. And I’m always curious, so I love learning new things just for fun.
