Hello, my name is Jillian Deien, and I am the Tutoring Coordinator for The Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Education Department. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education Administration. For over ten years, my professional career has been in the field of education.
Prior to my current position, I worked for a private tutoring company running their center, and I found my niche, which led me to applying for my position here with the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Education Department. I love building relationships with families and seeing children accomplish what they set out to do. In fact, I am looking forward to continuing to cultivate a positive tutoring culture with the families and students of the Seminole Tribe of Florida by working together to provide all our students with a great learning experience. I feel very passionately about education, especially when it comes to my son, James. Instilling how important learning is and seeing him blossom in school makes me feel full of pride.
Personally, I am a Floridian who grew up in Boca Raton, and my husband and I purchased our first home very close to where I grew up. I have been married for twelve years and together, we are raising our beautiful son James, who keeps us busy and entertained – and we are enjoying every second of it!
My main hobby is working out. I fell in love with it, and it helps renew my mental clarity throughout my day.
The quote that holds the most meaning to me is: “If you’re not excited about it, it’s not the right path.” – Abraham Hicks
